LITTLE HORN RELEASES "BOARDS AND COLORS" →
whaleheartrecords: We’re proud to bring you the new release from Little Horn and Whale Heart, Boards and Colors. While hard at work on their follow up LP, Little Horn has decided to offer here the remaining tracks from the Twelve sessions, their lauded sophomore release.  ”Cheyenne” starts Boards and Colors in a lovely and familiar fashion. Just Keith and his guitar, it recalls the first...

Awesome Review of Twelve. Not sure how we...
“Lullaby for the Working Class’ Blanket Warm is one of my favorite records, a pre-Saddle Creek Mike Mogis’ finest hour. There are few sets since that match that album’s well-churned mixture of blue-collar gruffness and arrangement elegance. Little Horn’s debut EP, Twelve, comes extremely close. Its best song is “Bridges Break,” a song that fits more sober depth into three-and-a-half...

New Review from Exclaim.ca!
By Randi Beers:  Imagine a project where the National released a country-tinged jam album and hired Mark Knopfler of Dire Straits to sing lead vocals. This is essentially the feel of Atlanta, GA-based Little Horn’s sophomore project, Twelve. All five tracks have an ethereal sound ― warm, plum-y guitar, deep bass and the low, cigarette-tinged voice of lead vocalist Keith Forrester over...

Little Horn unplugged at the Georgia Guidestones playing the second track from the new “Twelve” EP called “Bridges Break”.  Thanks to the immensely talented Scott Mckibben for this gem.  And now to leave you with a quote from the Guidestones: “Prize truth — beauty — love — seeking harmony with the infinite”.

Whaleheart Records releases "Twelve".
Whale Heart Records proudly presents “Twelve”, an EP by LIttle Horn. Twelve is the follow up to Little Horn’s first album “Such Pretty Houses” which was recorded and released in 2009. Since “Such Pretty Houses” Keith has put together a rhythm section comprised of Lille members, Rob Bellury and Steve Brown. DJ Higgum eventually rounded out the band and completed the...

Impose Magazine's Little Horn Review
Little Horn, Twelve (Whale Heart)  BY ANTHONY MARK HAPPEL : Keith Forrester is the eye of the tornado in this Atlanta-based band that does a nice job of spinning some tuneful, gothic folk-rock on this five-song EP. Not that the use of the term ‘gothic’ should denote overly glum, because that is not the case. Initially, Forrester had some issues with being out front and singing his songs, but...

New Little Horn LP gets unexpected plug
In a blurb about local Atlanta studios called “Pots and Pans” in the Feb 2011 issue of Stomp and Stammer Julia Reidy, writing about folks who have recently recorded with Ed Rawls at The Living Room, had this to say: “Local indie psych-folk band Little Horn (i.e. Keith Forrester and friends) laid down tracks for their upcoming LP on Whaleheart Records”.   There you have...

Great new happenings
Hey now.  I’ve got a new band and a bunch of new songs and I’m completely hyped about it floating around on a musical high.  The funny thing is, two of the members from Lille (Steve Brown and Rob Bellury) are now in my band too.  Pretty Sweet.  We are just one big happy family.  We added a killer guitar player named DJ and we got our first show booked.  Look out for more happiness in...
